We value entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative skills. Estimators work closely with our team to develop business, assess opportunities, and provide accurate estimates and proposals. Specializing in fast-paced projects, from retrofits to medium-sized constructions, candidates must be analytical, detail-oriented, and up-to-date with building codes. Responsibilities include bid review, takeoffs, vendor management, customer relations, and assisting with change orders. Estimating Duties:

• Identify bid opportunities from incoming invitations.
• Conduct initial field reviews during project walks.
• Review and download contract documents, including plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing.
• Utilize Quickpen software for detailed takeoffs.
• Collaborate with Division Manager to assess bid risks and identify scope gaps.
• Work with engineering team and General Foremen on value engineering.
• Review vendor proposals for accuracy and compliance.
• Clearly define scope in proposal letters and follow up with customers post-bid.
• Attend production meetings and assist with change order pricing.Customer Management:
  • Maintain excellent follow-through in selecting or passing on opportunities.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with new and existing customers and facilities.
  • Assist sales team with RFP and RFQ responses.
  • Develop and negotiate new business through consistent communication.
  • Monitor bid tracking and backlog for sales reporting.Required Abilities/Skills:
    • 5+ years of experience in estimating mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in reading detailed plans and specifications.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Understanding of conceptual estimating and HVAC systems.
    • Exceptional communication skills with customers, field leaders, and project managers.
    • Competency in software programs like Word, Excel, Autobid, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
